Externally Threaded Inserts (DIN 7965)
Externally Threaded Inserts, also known as Self Tapping Threaded Inserts are cylindrical metal bushings with internal and external threads and are specially designed to cut their own threads as they are being screwed into a drilled hole, and lock in that hole via friction. They are commonly known by their trademarked names Tap-lok®, Speedsert® or Ensat®.
