Blind Rivets , Class 9.8 (DIN 7337)
Blind Rivets, also known as Break Stem Rivets or POP™ Rivets, are two-material tubular fasteners consisting of a tubular body with a head made of a softer material, and a mandrel made of a harder material. Blind Rivets are used to clamp two materials together, without needing access to both sides of the clamped joint. For installation, the two-material assembly is inserted into a pre-drilled hole, and the mandrel is drawn back through the rivet body, deforming it, and clamping the two materials together. On completion of the assembly, the mandrel breaks off, leaving just the head of the mandrel hidden in the body of the blind rivet.
