Fasteners by British Standard Pipe (BSP) Thread
British Standard Pipe (BSP) is a set of thread specifications for plumbing and pipe fittings that have been widely adopted internationally except in the US where the National Pipe Thread (NPT) system is more popular.
Machinery manufactured in the US for export frequently require that plumbing conform to the BSP standards.
The thread form is based on the British Standard Whitworth (BSW) patterm with a 55 degree angle between flanks. At least 41 thread sizes have been defined, ranging from 1/16 inch to 18 inches.
