Jack Screws
Hex Jack Screws are used in printed circuit boards or sheet metal fabrications and their purpose is to provide a set distance separator between two objects. The two objects could be two circuit boards or two sheets of sheet metal. Like a hex male/female standoff, a hex jack screw has one end projecting and threaded, and the other end drilled and internally threaded. Where a hex jack screw differs from a hex male/female standoff is that the threaded end on a jack screw protrudes further than the threaded end of a standoff.
Common applications of Jack Screws are:
- • Electronics
- • Sheetmetal Fabrication
