Hanger Bolts

Hanger Bolts are threaded both ends, they have a lag screw thread at one end and machine screw thread on the other. They are are designed for overhead applications where the lag-screw threaded portion is screwed into a timber structure, leaving the machine-screw threaded portion for attachment.

Hanger Bolts are headless bolts with lag or wood screw threads at one end while machine threads at the other. Hanger bolts are mostly used for connecting wood to metal. Headless hanger bolts or hanger screws are other names for these bolts. Hanger bolts can be used with or without a nut, and they can be inserted into a machine tapped hole. With unified national coarse pitch (UNC), fine pitch (UNF), fixed pitch (UN), and ISO metric thread profiles, hanger bolt measurements are described in both metric and imperial sizes. These are manufactured in a variety of materials and according to ASTM requirements.
Common applications of Hanger Bolts are:

  • • Light Construction
  • • Heavy Duty Construction
  • • Wooden Playground Equipment
